Project Overview: Trads, a premium sunglasses brand, commissioned us to create two video campaigns: one showcasing their summer collection and another telling their brand story, capturing Trads’ signature blend of elegance, adventure, and effortless style.

When Trads, a Scottish sunglasses brand, approached us to create two large-scale campaigns, we knew we had an exciting opportunity to combine style, narrative, and travel into one creative journey. The first campaign, The Summer Collection, focused on lifestyle and energy, while the second, The Brand Story, explored emotion and transformation. Both aimed to strengthen Trads’ identity as a premium yet accessible brand with a distinctly Scottish soul and international appeal.
Campaign One: The Summer Collection
Pre-Production
To launch Trads’ new summer range, we planned a three-day shoot in Madrid that would capture everything the brand represents: confidence, spontaneity, and effortless style. Our team travelled from Glasgow alongside the brand’s founder, brand manager, two photographers, and a model. We also collaborated with local models from across Spain to ensure authenticity and diversity on screen.
Pre-production was vital. We began by aligning with Trads on visual identity and tone. Mood boards and shot lists were developed to capture the brand’s stylish yet relaxed personality, and logistics were carefully mapped to maximise efficiency. We secured a range of striking locations, rooftop bars, sun-drenched plazas, and vibrant city streets that reflected the carefree atmosphere at the heart of the brand.
As a video production company in Glasgow experienced in international shoots, our focus was on translating Trads’ creative vision into a cohesive, cinematic plan that would run smoothly on location.
Production
The first video was a commercial-style story featuring three models. It began with one model discovering a pair of Trads sunglasses before stepping out into the bustling Madrid sunshine, embracing the energy of the city. The narrative came full circle at a rooftop bar, where the models came together to capture the brand’s sociable, stylish essence.
The second video was a fast-paced highlight reel. Instead of following a storyline, it celebrated spontaneity, models dancing, laughing, and exploring Madrid with a sense of freedom and joy. The third film took audiences behind the scenes, documenting the journey from boarding a flight in Glasgow to the creative buzz of the shoot itself. This authentic, documentary-style approach gave fans a glimpse into Trads’ creative world and the people behind the brand.
Filming across multiple urban locations required flexibility, coordination, and an ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions. Our Glasgow-based video production team brought structure to the process while maintaining creative freedom, ensuring every moment captured felt genuine and alive.
Post-Production

We scouted two key locations: Offshore, a small independent coffee shop in Glasgow, and the sunny streets of Valencia. The contrast between Glasgow’s grey skies and Valencia’s golden light became the central metaphor of the film.
Pre-production also involved coordinating an ambitious two-location shoot, crafting a visual plan that would allow us to create seamless transitions between the two worlds, one grounded in reality, the other in escapism.
Production
The film followed a woman sitting alone in a coffee shop, staring out at the rain. When a mysterious box appears containing a pair of Trads sunglasses, she puts them on and is instantly transported to the warmth of Valencia. Each time she removes them, she returns to Glasgow until she finally decides to embrace the fantasy and step into her new world with confidence.
Filming across two countries required precision. Our Glasgow video production team focused on lighting and framing to ensure the transition between the two settings felt magical but believable. The contrast between the muted tones of Scotland and the golden glow of Spain was used deliberately to heighten the emotional impact of the story.
Post-Production
Editing played a crucial role in bringing the narrative together. Smooth, fluid transitions helped bridge the gap between the two worlds, while subtle visual cues guided viewers through the transformation.
Colour grading became one of the film’s most powerful storytelling tools. Glasgow scenes were treated with cool, subdued tones, while Valencia scenes radiated warmth and brightness. The shift in palette mirrored the emotional journey of the protagonist, from isolation to liberation.
